My Steemit Newbie Resteem Post - Week 36

in justbecause •  6 years ago

We are still here

Week 36, Steemit is still here, I am still here, and @newbieresteemday is still here. Price of steem is still sort of in limbo, but that does not mean it is a time to say goodbye. More below. But first the standard page, intent content. If you have not read it in awhile please take a minute, and see if you might be interested in a little exposure help.

Requirements

So, if you are new to steemit and meet the criteria below I will try to help at least one individual that responds:

• a steemit newbie, that has a rank of not more than 45
• has a good and quality blog
• has less than 90 days on steemit
• I will only resteem One post, and that is not a guarantee

If you would like your blog to be resteemed, read, commented on, and voted on, leave a link to one of your blog post in the comments below and I will try to help. If you have a question I will try to answer it, or direct you to someone or a post that may be of help. Steemit can be overwhelming at times, but there are people that do try to take the time and help others.

Here I am

It can be daunting when first joining steemit and trying to get help with your post and your post visibility. There are fortunately now several groups that try to help onboard new users with that help. The people of @newbieresteemday area bit different than most, we are a decentralised form of help. We do have a discord chat room, it was created for us, not made by us, and is somewhat managed by one of us.

We do not have any hard and fast rules other than the ones we place on ourselves, (see my rules above), everyone has different ideas on what to do and how to best help with the knowledge that they have. There are a couple of individuals that manage the @newbieresteemday account, I honestly do not know how many, nor who really, all I know is that if someone needs a break from it they find someone else to help with it. @newbiegames is another of the accounts, same situation as the @newbieresteemday account. We are decentralized and sort of not decentralized.

There are no "owners" to any of it, there are people that put their time, their effort into maintaining and running it, because it needs to be done. There will always be new users to steemit, there will always be a need for helping people, and there will always be someone new on steemit, or that has been around steemit for awhile willing to help out.

If you want to help out in @newbieresteemday, just pop into the discord chatroom, or drop a message on this or any of the community post, (best bet would be the @newbiegames post), as they have more frequent update post. I can try to point you to someone for assistance if you want to help. @davemccoy, and @mudcat36 are still around off and on, they were the founders. @simplymike I think is currently doing most of the @newbiegames stuff, and I really don't know the go to person for @newbieresteemday, for discord channel help just DM @jan23com or @thehive, he kind of keeps the discord room clean.

Conclusion

This was to primarily let you all know that yes, even though the price sucks, we have gone nowhere, we still like Steemit, we still think there is growth for Steemit, and we still most of all understand that there will always be new users in steemit that need a hand or leg up. Those of us at @newbieresteemday do not "charge" for our help, it matters not if you follow, or if you vote on any of the content or comments, they are of course always appreciated, but are generally not a mandatory thing.

Hello bashadow
You are welcomed by the service of FreeResteem.
We want to bring more people to your post.
If you like our service then put a upvote under this comment.
Thank you for remain with Steemit.

Put me on a do not disturb list, I do not UPVOTE people that say upvote me in a comment. This post is designed for new users to steemit, there are enough people begging and hitting up new users and trying to take every little piece of steem they earn, I realize you are a bot account, that you only have 160 people following you, and I am not going to support bot accounts of this nature. I do not like bots of this nature.

You have 0.817 STEEM of your own, (+14.215 STEEM) that is delegated to new accounts still. You have no real service, you are helping no one with your bot, and not even helping yourself at all. Your bot is not following anyone at all. It just goes around wasting peoples time.

Fortunately I am somewhat bored today at this point in the day, while my breakfast digest and I sip on my coffee, I would flag your comment, like @steemflagrewards did on a couple of your other comments, but I prefer to save and use my vote power on those that deserve an upvote. Fortunately there are people that do flag this kind of thing, not that it really does any good against unmaintained bots, but eventually your reputation will be below 0 and then your comments will not be visible until I click on it to see yes indeed it is a garbage comment.

The nice thing about the comment being greyed out is that after I look I can just re-grey out your comment and never have to see it again. Eventually I might remember your name as a comment spammer and not even bother to unclick and look, or I may add you to my mute list never to see your "Hey look at what I did for you, now give me money" type of comments. The bad thing about being put on my mute list, is I rarely unmute someone, because they go on there for a reason.

So you are very close to being added to that list. I think the Mute button is pretty good, and I hope one day that the developers will have a way to not show comments by people I have on my mute list on my post, that way I can protect my viewers from asinine comments like this or people that regularly scam others.

Before all you right to free speechers start screaming I have a right to protect my viewers and visitors from crap. Unfortunately steemit does not make that easy to do. One day a real mute button will be designed. That will really take care of the crap comments and seriously cut down on the scam/phishing comments.

Sorry for the long comment rant, to the new user reading this comment, comments like the one I responded to are part of steemit unfortunately. There are many scammers, many people that want your vote, and your steem, so be careful, and look at who they are before voting.

Thank you for not wasting a flag on it. I think it could also be useful to keep these two comments in view add a learning lesson.
So glad you were bored with your breakfast!

My buttons sometimes get pushed. Next to plagiarism the slapping myself on the back because I helped you you should help me comments quite frankly piss me off. I know it was mostly a rant, but I do grow tired of them. Thank you for not being offended at my comment.

You are an amazing individual... I'm happy to be connected to you for sure! :)
