New Software Try-out

I know I normally do not make two post in one day. But...well...I sort of felt like making one after trying this new software. First though the pictures. These are of a medium size about 3.4 MB each so pretty good size. Up first a small lake close to where we live, There is a Loon pair, but they are pretty skittish and took off to distant shore when they heard us.

We finally had a nice day, although it is still pretty windy. Just a few clouds and lots of sunshine.

Here we have a panoramic shot from Cohoe Beach. Lots of people were down there surf fishing today.

I don't like how this image bulges somewhat in the middle, I think it was because I physically turned a little bit, I should have used the tri-pod, but it was at home, and even though the wind was not that cold it was still cold enough that I really did not want to stand in it for long..

The software I used was a Demo Version of Auto Stitch the web site that I got the software from was:

Chrome says it is not a secure site so caution advised.
AutoStitch is available to license from the University of British Columbia. UBC site -https://uilo.ubc.ca/autostitch%E2%84%A2

Did I like it? Yes. Simple easy to use. You need to check the settings the default settings made rather small pano's. There really is no editing available, and RAW image was not supported. Four full digital 12 MB Jpeg pictures did not take long at all to stitch together. No real significant wait. After stitching I just opened them in Corel Photoshop and did the edit/enhancements and cropping/resizing. So I will continue to play with this one for awhile.

Hey, @bashadow.

Looks good to me. The blue of the lake in the top image is amazing blue. The second image is more in line with what I normally see.

I like how they keep coming out with new and improved apps for different things. It's just being patient and making do until they actually turn out something you like that can be kind of frustrating. :)

I keep hunting for new stuff all the time. The only thing this program does is stitch the images, but with two or three other edit programs things get interesting. I did like how the blue of the lake enhanced and did nothing for the sky, but don't it just look inviting in that color.

It does look very inviting. I'm sure it's pretty cold, though. :)

I kind of associate nice warm water with a more blue green, since that's the color of the ocean water in Cancun and Hawaii. :)

That software seems to work very well awesome Pano images
