While there is conflict on whether it is acceptable to break the law or not, its should never be acceptable to break the law unless you are under the age of 10 years old where the parents should be held accountable because they are the ones in control of the behavior and influencing the child.
i believe that children should be taught from whats right and whats a wrong, children are very easily influenced especially at such a young age. this is why children need to know whats right and whats wrong before its too late and they commit something really serious. in the u.k the law for arrest is very different, children under 10 cannot be accountable to break the law.
in the website uk.gov the law states that any child under the age of 10 years old will not be arrested but will be aloud so many warnings depending on the severeness of the crime. if the child exceeds the amount of warnings given the parent will then be held accountable and will have to pay the consequences that any other person would get for committing the crime.
I believe it is never ever acceptable to break the law under any circumstances above a curtain age. there are laws put in place in the u.k about younger children that are let off for a curtain amount of time. these laws have to be put in place in the u.s because the children do not know from right and wrong and the parents should be held accountable. the u,s must put these laws in place and focusing on the parents and how they influence the child.
