The TRON (TRX) mainnet was officially initiated by TIG (Tron Independence Group) on June 25. The launch will be mean the migration of the network's TRX tokens from the original ERC20 coins to TRON’s (TRX) mainnet tokens. According to TRON's CEO, Justin Sun, via a post on his Twitter handle:

"Exchanges that carry this migration have initiated the technical integration. All is going well."
The TRX‘s ERC20 tokens will remain till all the ERC20 tokens are ultimately converted to TRON’s (TRX) Mainnet tokens following the launch. In a press release the TRON Foundation says:
“The integration allows token holders to make the conversion of tokens at any digital currency exchange that supports the TRX migration. And for your specific conversion time, kindly refer to the announcement revealed by the exchange in question.”
TRON (TRX) is Still Open To The Idea of Other Exchanges Despite The Fact That Binance And Gate Both Support The Token Conversion
Although, Binance and Gate support the token conversion from ERC20 to TRON’s (TRX) mainnet tokens, the TRON (TRX) foundation is still open to welcoming other exchanges regarding rendering support for the migration. Upbit has swapped the TRON’s (TRX) mainnet asset for token holders at a 1:1 ratio. Upbit has also re-opened the transaction of TRON's TRX deposit and withdrawal.
The TRON (TRX) Foundation went on to say that:
“TRON will give timely updates regarding the exchanges that can continuously support the migration.”
In addition to that, the Super Representative Election is also running, and the SR candidates have been told to begin the voting process. They must be prepared for their promotional campaigns which will depend on the migration's progress at different exchanges.
One crypto proponent, 2ez28u, took to Twitter:
“TRON’s mainnet has been launched by the TRON Independence Group since June 25 and has been smoothly running ever since.”
The effect that the Mainnet launch will have on the market remains to be seen. However, there's still time to tell what it will be.
