A SENSE IN THEIR SEEMING SENSELESS ACTS

It is a pity that Nigeria is what it is today and the world's perception of the country is warped and at the same time justifiable owing to variegated atrocities perpetrated and perpetuated by the politicians. The polity is heated up along the lines of ethnicity, religion and friendship and varied misdemeanours committed along the line of cronyism. We are so doomed to an extent that mediocrity is given utmost premium at the expense of expertise. Corruption is taking a deep-rooted stance while it smirks at our sinew efforts to jettison it from our collective space.
Last year heralded the Hausa contingent into our political space spearheaded by Gen. Buhari despite their loud-mouthed promises through endless grandstanding to douse the country of ethnic tensions and conflagrations. It is to our collective disenchantment when they dispensed with their spirited election promises and subjected the country into unimaginable ethnic strife. What we have on our hands now is a full fledged ethnic stratification and marginalisation.
The constitution is skewed to their favour(elected politicians) and we are made to bear the brunt of such egregious, inhumane acts. Igbos are the worst at the receiving end of this abysmal act. They are treated like animals and no respect is accorded them. Despite the clamour for restructuring, their hues and cries have been on deaf ears. They carry on with gay abandon and they neglect their sufferiñgs. The igbos have been engaging in ways to ensure equity through restructuring but it has not been successful. They try to make the government see the inhumanity but it seems that they are inured to it. It takes only oné man to whip up the emotions of people to see the draconian acts of the government which is done by Nnamdi Kanu and it deserves every actions it requires. A call for self-determination is a mode of making the government see that the structural constitution is lopsided and should be reversed and rectified. Until that is done, there is much sense in what they are doing. Albeit, i am a Yoruba man, even though we like to live in self-denial, a fierce rejection of the government through picketing is the way to go. So, i say, there is a bigger sense in their seemingly nonsense acts. IMG_20170724_105842_665.JPGIMG_20170724_105902_172.JPG
