Kalanggaman Island is one of the most beautiful islands in the Philippines. Clear water blue water and white sand like powder.
The island is in Palompon, Leyte, Philippines. It seems like a small island of Boracay Island. What is unique about this is the beauty of the two sand bars stretching end to end of the island. Unlike other seaside resorts, this island is not very crowded.
When you arrive here, you feel as if you are stranded on a beautiful island, because this island is your home for the day and you can do everything you want, like swimming in clear blue water, snorkeling, diving, kayaking and much more.
To get to Kalanggaman island you need to get to Palompon. You can go to Palompon, Leyte via Tacloban Airport or Cebu Airport. When you are in Palompon, go to Palompon Liberty Park and pay the required fees for Kalanggaman EcoTour. You can ride a bicycle called the Potpot to Liberty Park for only P3 per person. Take the boat from here to Kalanggaman. It takes about 1 hour for normal boats and 35 minutes for speed boats.
Because the weather in the Philippines is always sunny, you can go to the island every day, I went to Kalanggaman island on Christmas Day. July and September are usually rainy and typhoons occur within these days so it’s best to avoid going during these months.
Kalanggaman island is a virgin island so you will need to take all your food and drinks with you. It’s best to go early morning so you can spend the whole day there. Kalanggaman island is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been to. If you go to Philippines you must visit the island and see the beauty for yourself.
