Where was Kathy Griffin's Apology to the Trump family?

I have really three issues with what Kathy Griffin did besides it being in very poor taste. How it affected Trumps family, especially his 11 year old son, and how world leaders will perceive it are the first 2, and then that she didn't apologize to our President at all. She was told by someone to make an apology video, wearing no makeup and flat hair so that it would distance her from the video and perhaps show how upset she was. (Been crying for HOURS, couldn't even pull herself together, sob, sob.) Her apology included a lot of eye rolling and the real message of it was I'm sorry you didn't get the humor. She was trying to stem the blowback, maybe save her scorched career. There was no I'm sorry for being insensitive to President Trumps family, and the American people.
This is the same Kathy Griffin who went nuts on Sarah Palin because she had a target on a map for her presidential run and a Democratic congressman was shot. She mouthed off every chance she got the Sarah Palin's target to turn that area republican caused violence but somehow Kathy Griffin could justify publishing a clearly violent image when it suited her own purpose.
Fortunately, there has already been a lot of blowback for her and her employer, CNN. They finally decided a day later to terminate her, most likely because of phone calls made to their advertisers. It always comes down to money.
In a way, this was a good lesson for the left to learn. There is a limit to how much they can do without suffering serious blow-back. I think we all have known all along that sooner or later, one of these ISIS leaning leftist nut jobs would go too far. Couldn't happen to a nicer person (infer sarcastic font).
Now that CNN has finally terminated her, you may be asking yourself, should you still call CNN advertisers. Well, that depends on whether you would still like to go after CNN. After all, their first statement was that they were not going to terminate her, but it was under review. It let them buy some time to watch, see if it was going to blow over while they all chuckled about it at their desks. They are still the number one source of biased, fake news on the planet and there is a reason for the saying "Follow the Money".
