Made from rewiring an old stepper motor, adding a wooden head and attaching some fins made of cut PVC, I was able to construct this primitive and low output, but very sensitive Vertical Axis Wind Turbine; or VAWT for short.
It, along with solar systems, serve as off-grid, green, clean, and free energy sources in my backyard. All as part of a mini-power plant at home, that you too can innovate and adapt for whatever your purpose.
Small scale systems with weak motors may not produce a great deal of power(<100w), but would suit small draw or cumulative systems, and would be ideal for apartments, garden, security, lighting, laptops , MP3 players, and phones, camping, RUV's, rural and many other power demand niches.
I hope this inspires you to take the power back....
Energy is our duty and our priviledge.
It should be free to everyone!!!
To a better world my friends.
