There have been reports of at least 15 deaths in a market in Kenya's capital Nairobi. More than 70 people were injured in the fire and burned toxic smoke.
The hospital authorities said four of the dead were children.
The BBC reported that a fire broke out around the city's Gichomba market on Wednesday night. Many shops and equipment in the market have become burnt to ashes.
The St. John Ambulance Service said that on Wednesday, a room of fire broke out in a room in the middle of the night and it soon spread to neighboring shops and habitats.
