(not yet in CKAN but you can download it from the forums) Kerbal Engineer Redux - Combined with the Delta V map, this helps you figure out what the spaceship you are building will actually do.

(1.2) Stage Recovery - Allows you to use parachutes to recover rocket stages (spent fuel containers that are discarded.) Normally Kerbal Space Program will automatically delete them as part of memory management.

(1.2) Kerbal Alarm Clock - You can use this to set timers, such as flight windows to Duna (Mars) and notifications of maneuvers that are coming due.

ForScience! - This mod automates the collection of science. I pretend like it is not installed and go through the motions of collecting science manually, this is just so I don't miss anything. If you find you are missing a lot of science opportunities, try this mod.
