Many do not know the Kerkennah archipelago, yet it is one of the most beautiful regions of the country, a region with magical landscapes and unique traditions.

For those who do not know the islands of Kerkennah, they are a Tunisian archipelago of the Mediterranean Sea located about twenty kilometers off Sfax. Administratively, it constitutes a delegation attached to the governorate of Sfax, composed of ten imadas, but also a municipality.

The archipelago is composed of two main islands: Gharbi and Chergui, and twelve islets, Gremdi, Roumadia, Rakadia, Sefnou, Charmadia, Ch'hima, Keblia, Jeblia, El Frukh, Firkik, Belgharsa and El Haj Hmida.

The islands and islets of Kerkennah offer a wild and sometimes pristine nature, a perfect destination for those who would like to change their air and get away from city life. In Kerkennah, the weather is mild and pleasant throughout the year, and the beaches are of incomparable beauty.

As far as culinary specialties are concerned, the Kerkennah region is dedicated to fresh products, especially seafood. Octopus salad, octopus salad, octopus couscous ... are some of the specialties of the region.

A beautiful beach, beautiful scenery, delicious food ... the Kerkennah Islands would be a perfect destination for the summer season.
