The Canada Conservative Party race is set to be held on May 27th. One of the contenders in the Conservative leadership election is Kevin O'Leary, a radio shock jock who is known for his weekly television show Shark Tank. He has also co-founded O'Leary Funds and SoftKey and is a household name in Canada. Being a high-profile celebrity and business man worked for US President Trump, and O'Leary has stated that he would be better placed to negotiate with the USA than PM Justin Trudeau. O'Leary also alleges his fundraising efforts dominate the competition. The race is crowded with other prominent names such as Maxime Bernier and Lisa Raitt as well as unconventional candidates such as Kellie Leitch who is leading in most recent polls. The candidate elected on the 27th of May will be their flag bearer for the October 2019 general election, against Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's Liberals.
