necessary ingredients
One kilo chicken
2 onions finely cut
One big spoon ginger-garlic paste
One big spoon cashew paste
One cup tomato puree
A teaspoon turmeric powder
2 tsp Coriander Powder
Red Chilli Powder
A spoonful of garam masala powder
First spoon Kasoori Fenugreek (if desired)
Salt to taste

Finely chopped coriander

Method

  • Wash and clean the pieces of chicken.
  • Heat the oil in a heavy bottom vessel on the gas. Add onion and fry until it becomes golden on medium flame.
    Once the onion is fry, add ginger-garlic paste in it and cook it for 2 minutes.
    After that, add chicken pieces into the pot and mix it. Cook it for 5 minutes on high flame.
    Now add red chilli, turmeric, coriander powder, kasoori fenugreek and salt to the chicken.
    Cover the vessel with lid and cook chicken on medium heat for 10 minutes.
    Then remove the lid from the utensil and put tomato puree in the chicken and cook it for 2 minutes.
    Now add about 2 cups of water to the chicken and cover it and cook on medium heat for 20 minutes.
    After this, add garam masala powder and cashew paste and mix thoroughly.
    Then cook the chicken for 5 minutes without covering it.
  • Now turn off the gas. Ready Chicken Curry Serve hot with roti and rice by garnishing it with green coriander.
