Adventures in Homeschooling - Oi Vey!

in khanacademy •  7 years ago

Homeschooling has been an interesting experience as most of you who do it know.

Recently, we have hit a slump with the kiddo's not wanting to learn. What we've learned, distractions suck.

My son can smash through lessons if he has one on one time. In order to do that, my wife or I have to take him out of the chaos and sit him in a quiet area. He has been using Khan Academy and ABC Mouse which he loves both of them.

We have also been pretty lax with taking pictures of his work. Today was an exception and I wanted to share some of what we are doing.

Cheers!

We found a tree stump that a beaver had chewed on! We were able to successfully determine this from the bite pattern and a couple tracks close by.
