As you cannot hide light under the bushel, genius cannot remain unrecognized and unsung for long. It only needs the nourishment of stimulating and caring environment and it can do wonders for the world. India has been blessed with such child prodigies. Earlier we have seen Srinivas Ramanujan, Shakuntala Devi, Chandrakanth Sardeshmukh, U. Srinivas, Edmund Thomas Clint and many more. And today, below mentioned prodigies are busy re-writing the course of history.

Jayantika Dey

Wonder kid of 7 years, Jayantika is a child prodigy of Indian classical vocal music. Daughter and disciple of music maestro Pt. Devashish Dey himself, listening to her Thumri of Banaras style is one blissful experience.

Akshay Venkatesh

At the tender age of 12, Akshay stunned the world by winning medals at both the International Physics Olympiad and International Mathematics Olympiad. He is also the youngest ever to be awarded First Class Honours in Pure mathematics at the University of Western Australia.

And he made an artificial leg with the ability for ankle and knee movements at the age of 15 years. Born in 1996, Kishan made history by directing a full-length Kannada film named "Care of Footpath" in 2006. The movie went on to win many national and international awards. The Guiness Book of World Records acknowledged him as the "Youngest director of a professionally made feature length film". He has been included in Forbes India 30 under 30 list, 2014.

Rituparna Bhattarcharjee

Widely acclaimed for its innocent and imaginative expression, Bhutiya, a collection of Bengali short stories, was penned by Rituparna when she was just 11. Though she published her first story 'A story of three fish' at the age of 7. Her first English short story 'Growing Up' was published in Voices of The Statesman when she was only 15.
