Two individuals were killed after a shooter started shooting in a McDonald's eatery in the northern Dutch city of Zwolle on Wednesday, police and nearby media said.

"Two individuals were killed in a shooting episode," Dutch police tweeted, with neighborhood telecaster RTL Oost saying the occurrence occurred around 6pm (1600 GMT) in a Mcdonald's.

Witnesses told RTL Oost the men were having a dinner when the shooter strolled into the eatery and discharged shots at them in an evident "focused on" assault.

"The man originally requested a feast and found a spot at a table opposite the two casualties prior to shooting," RTL Oost added.

"There was monstrous frenzy among the clients who all attempted to escape outside," the telecaster said.

The aggressor then, at that point, escaped.

Police and ambulances hurried to the scene where salvage laborers attempted to revive one of the injured casualties, who later kicked the bucket.

Police said they were searching for witnesses and the quest for the shooter proceeded.

They didn't give subtleties for a potential intention or the characters of the two casualties, who were supposed to be of a Turkish-Dutch foundation.

Video pictures from the scene showed the region cordoned off with police tape while a helicopter flying upward.

Stunned onlookers and family members of the casualties could likewise be seen comforting one another.
