Two separatists were killed in security forces in two districts of Jammu and Kashmir state of India.
The raid was carried out in the state's Shopsian and Anantnag districts on Sunday, according to police, NDTV, Indian media.
Of the dead, seven died in a raid on Drogagad village in Shopsian.
A separatist was killed and others were captured alive in the operation of Anantnag. Police said that after contacting the families of the separatists, family members requested them to surrender. One surrendered but the other refused. Later, he was killed in firing.
State Police Chief Superintendent SP Bhide said in a tweet, "A terrorist was killed in Anantnag's Dayalgam. His family and the police failed to convince him to surrender. The other one is detained. Drugagadera top commander and seven terrorists have been found. "
Four members of the security forces were injured in the operation of Shopsian and Anantnag, police said.
Security forces are fighting with three to four terrorists hiding in another operation in Shopia, police officials said.
