None dare call it corruption
None have dared call it corruption.
- Instead they complain about...
- the whales having enough votes to put any witness they want in the top 20 (Where they make waaay more money for their services).
- big accounts circle jerking
- ... there are lots of complaints regarding the upper echelon of Steemit...
- If any of the dozens of complaints I've read on here are true, I would call that corruption.
I'm not saying there is corruption.
I'm saying "If any of the hundreds of complaints are true, I would call that corruption."
- If any of the dozens of complaints I've read on here are true, I would call that corruption.
What is corruption?
Here's what comes up when I type "corruption definition" into the Google spy network.
cor·rup·tion
kəˈrəpSH(ə)n
noun
- dishonest or fraudulent conduct by those in power, typically involving bribery.
If any of our largest stakeholders are dishonest or fraudulent, that could be called corruption.
If any of our largest stakeholders take bribes to use their power to help any person or group of people over the good of the entire platform, that could be called corruption.
Corruption is everywhere.
Why would we be surprised if it existed here on Steemit.
That just seems to be life...
Oil eating microbes vs. corruption (Just 1 example)
I have witnessed corruption first hand...
I've been involved in quite a few unique products that should have, but were never able to break into the market.
- Hydrogen Assist Fuel Cells
- We had full size Ford pickups & SUVs getting upwards of 30 MPG.
- Ford Motor Company bought 100 of our kits for testing.
They have yet to use the technology.
- Ford Motor Company bought 100 of our kits for testing.
- I personally rode in a Honda Accord that got over 100 MPG.
Unless you turned on the AC, then it only got 70 some MPG.- The FTC shut down that company.
- We had full size Ford pickups & SUVs getting upwards of 30 MPG.
- Stan Meyers water powered dune buggy
- I know a guy who rode in Stan Meyer's dune buggy.
They poisoned me - Stan Meyers
- I know a guy who rode in Stan Meyer's dune buggy.
I couldn't find this pic on http://ddees.com/ but I did find it here...

- Oil eating microbes
- What do you think would happen if it could be demonstrated that an oil spill could be cleaned up, for a fraction of the cost of "normal" procedures, using nothing but oil eating microbes?
- You would think that would be the way all future oil spills would be cleaned up.
- Is it?
NO!- Why?
Dirt moving companies are hired to dig up the soil and put it in barrels.
It is then transported as hazardous waste. (Which is much more expensive than hauling dirt.)
Landfills are paid huge sums of money to bury it.
In other words, power structures are in place to make a lot of money when oil is spilled onto the earth.
Because of corruption, they are able to keep the status quo and not allow a cheaper, better solution to be used.
- Why?
- What do you think would happen if it could be demonstrated that an oil spill could be cleaned up, for a fraction of the cost of "normal" procedures, using nothing but oil eating microbes?
The oil companies are corrupt
- There were no 1970's oil shortages. It was completely a man-made.
- "They" ...
filled up all the storage tanks,
shut off certain pipelines- and called it a shortage.
- Some of you might have experienced the oil shortage first hand.
So, you would say, that @WizarDave is crazy, there really was a shortage.
I'm not denying there was a shortage.
I'm simply saying it was a man-made shortage.- Why would the oil companies be corrupt?
The price of gas at the pump went from about 20 cents to around $1.00/gallon.
According to Lindsey Williams gasoline today should still cost about $1.00/gallon.
- Why would the oil companies be corrupt?
- "They" ...
According to the U.S. Energy Information Administration.
In 2017, about 142.85 billion gallons ... of finished motor gasoline were consumed in the United States,
a daily average of about 391.40 million gallons.
If you ASSume we are paying about double what we should be or the actual cost should be about 1/2,
and knowing the average price today is $2.838/gallon
1.419 * 391,400,000 = $555,396,600 / day extra that we are paying due to corruption.
1/2 billion $ / day = $202,719,759,000/year extra profits...
If an industry could make an extra $202+ billion a year through dishonest or fraudulent conduct and probably involving bribery,
... you might call it corruption ...
And that's just a few first hand experiences...
Conclusion
Corruption is bad.
Corruption should be punished wherever it is found.
Corruption can be found everywhere.
Check out the easiest 14.3 Steem I ever made!

You forgot about the spider in the FBI where the number 1 and 2 guys in charge have both been caught covering up one candidate corruption only to try and fabricate charges against another. FYI I just seen where only 300 emails was viewed out of the 700,000 emails on Weiners laptop!! Meanwhile top social media AMERICAN CO's not only admitted to covering up, shadowing sites and deleting accounts during last election it now looks like they are doing it again

The problem on steemit is that power is so arbitrary, any asshole can decide that they don't like plagiarism, even if they don't know what the fucking word means, and then go around flagging posts calling them plagiarism and there is not anything you can do about it. Nothing like that can survive long, that's a big turnoff for most people.

That's why I always upvote @haikubot, that shit cracks me up.
My fear is that will just create echo chambers like you see on disqus where they kick out anyone who disagrees.
