Bible study: "Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other", Ephesians 4:32

When we please God we do not judge according to the flesh: "You judge according to the flesh, I am not judging anyone", John 8:15. The mind ruled by the flesh is fundamentally hostile towards our neighbor: "How can you say to your brother, ´Brother, let me take the speck out of your eye´, when you yourself fail to see the plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye.", Luke 6:42.
According to the Bible we enter the kingdom of God through works of mercy, being compassionate and forgiving the faults of others, explains to us the apostle Paul: "Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other", Ephesians 4:32

To forgive and be forgiven, is a rule that Jesus gives us, because the Law of the Return works: "Judgment without mercy will be shown to anyone who has not been merciful". James 2:13. The law of return is a universal, a cosmic law of balance and retribution: "Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life", Galatians 6:7-8
The exercise of empathy, the ability to put ourselves in the place of the other, to be moved by the misery of our neighbor as in the case of the parable of the Good Samaritan (Luke 10:25-37) is fundamental.
Justice is not enough, we need mercy to live ethically with our neighbor and reach the concord and communion: "All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of their possessions was their own, but they shared everything they had" Acts 4:3.
