The kingdom is here: You are citizens together with those who belong to God. Ephesians 2:19

The Bible teaches us that those who live according to the spirit, as members of a new body, are citizens of a new Kingdom, the Kingdom of Heaven: "From now on you are not strangers and people who are not citizens. You are citizens together with those who belong to God. You belong in God's family.", Ephesians 2:19.

And this family has a foundation stone (Jesus is the cornerstone of communion, Mark 12:10), which is the life of Jesus with his example: "Built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone. In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit.", Ephesians 2:20-22.
The Kingdom of God (the empire of wisdom, the reign of piety, the dominion of perseverance), as the epistle explains, is above all the unity of those who are brothers and not strangers, the Kingdom of Heaven is not about masks or appearances but about a new and renewed heart towards God; a new uplifting, progressive, and edifying mentality: "That all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one.", John 17:21-22.
Jesus asks us to give up all selfishness and greed, which tempts us towards false happiness. True happiness cannot arise from apparent goods, the pursuit of which only generates division. Jesus wants to give us that true happiness, which is born from true goods such as mercy and piety. This is so because those who follow Jesus are a unity in spirit: "But whoever is united with the Lord is one with him in spirit.", 1 Corinthians 6:17.
Communion, the ethical social order and the unity of spirit, makes us brothers and family of Jesus.
