I really like the Kingsman movies, so I decided to get the comic books they were based from. I found a set, first printing, mint condition at a comic shop, and I ordered them. Now I have them.
They are in sealed plastic covers. The receipt says "mint condition."
Now, I don't know if I am harming their value if I open the plastic bags so I can read them!
I bought them because they were somehow special as opposed to the used copies, and I liked the movies. Now I am wondering what I was thinking because I don't know what to do with them. It never occurred to me that the reason they are special is that no one read them.
I actually wanted to start a political party called "The Statesman". All the anti-vax Libertarians always argue with name calling - "statists" so this would be my jab at them. Kingsman have class which is something anti-vax people don't have.
Anyway, does anybody know the correct way to treat mint condition comics that come in sealed plastic sleeves? Are they supposed to remain forever sealed, or can I open them and read them? Or should I go look for some used copies to read and just save these?
