Immediately make a reservation that I did not read the manga (unfortunately, in general, I do this very rarely), therefore, it will not work to compare with the original source. It was difficult to not even hear anything before about the Invasion of the Titans, the enthusiastic exclamations of which came from all sides in an endless stream. Well, I waited for the release of all the series, looked and ... completely and completely joined the fan camp.
The plot is quite original: humanity lost the planet in a battle with gigantic anthropomorphic monsters - the very titans - and sits behind huge walls that should serve as a guarantee of the preservation of the last crumbs of its gene pool. Already here the viewer realizes that the relative lull suddenly comes to an end. Probably, on the Titans, it would be possible to affix a label of belonging to the caste of netizenbuzz, if there would not be so much blood and death. Taught by experience, even pretending to be some kind of seriousness of other kissanime series, we have repeatedly seen how the main character swept everything in its path, and it is extremely rare to really kill someone (yes, that is, to death) - first Hajime Isayama in the manga and then Tetsuro Araki in the anime adaptation destroy this stereotype (with a few caveats, but still). Most of the characters are eaten, torn, crumpled into a cake for the next couple of episodes after they are presented on the screen.
You can make some claims to this anime: many characters have not been adequately disclosed (unless Eren and Mikasa have been given a little more time), the world has enough conventions (where the necessary components are obtained for steel production, etc.), after viewing, there are many more questions than you can count on (what is the true essence of the titans? Who built the Great Wall? How can some titans take a human form?). But on the one hand, something may open up in a sequel already announced at the beginning of next year, and on the other ... to hell with this nit-picking, all objective claims fade with an explosive emotional effect.
In no case do not miss the opportunity to get acquainted with the Invasion of the Titans. No kidding candidate for the kissanime ru of the year.
