Tough loss for the Knicks. I don't like how they handled the last minute of the game. Porzingis struggled the 1st half and had it going the second half, especially in the 4th. Part had to do with him not being 100% healthy and the Knicks force feeding him. I don't like that they start Lance Thomas at PF and play Beasley spot minutes. Coming into this game Beas has averaged about 28ppg. When Beasley has time he generates offense with ease. This sounds outlandish but Beasley is the Knicks best playmaker/all around player. His basketball iq is underrated with his checkered past, but he's the only one on the Knicks with a handle that can shoot, dribble, drive, pass and guard most positions.

He's a good defender when he wants to be as well. His standstill 3pt abilities seem to be underestimated as well.

Lance Thomas can defend and doesn't offer much more than hitting an occasional open 3. For some reason Sessions can't get on the floor as they elect to go with Baker. Baker gives his all on defense and hits a couple 3s sometimes, but his handle and passing fundamentals are shaky sometimes. Courtney Lee made a horrible decision killing his dribble in point blank range and went for a layup instead of kicking the ball to a cutting Porzingis. Lee kills me when he shoots his runners in the lane that almost never go in. He also held the ball on the last possession for too long expecting Porzingis to bail him out. He is another 3 and D man that struggles playmaking.

If the Knicks can't get a clean imbound to KP or someone can't get him a clean pass, I would prefer Beasley, Jarret Jack or THJ when healthy to have possession in those situations.

How about Kanter though? 22 and 16 tonight and I'm sure he didn't play late in the 4th unfortunately. He is a tenacious offensive rebounding monster fundamentally sound in the post. He's still 25 so I would be disappointed if the Knicks don't find a way to keep him. Porzingis and him create nice high to low post action with Porzingis being able to step out for 3.

Anyway, I didn't the Knicks would look so strong at this point in the season which is a great sign of things to come. THJ who's been a shocker this season is still a few weeks away and can replace Lee offensively.

I just discovered d.tube so I didn't expect my post to be uploaded here as well.
