Handmade File Knife For My Father In Law

in knife •  7 years ago

I made this and several other knives a few years ago. This one was a gift for my father in law. Made from a high tooth machinist's file. Handle is Texas Pecan. I only have one of these knives left as I gave all the others away or donated them to random biker benefits.

Yeah, that knife is really cool. Great job.

Thankyou very much.

I forgot to mention theres a bottle opener cut into the spine of the blade.

My dad still carries that knife from time to time.

Wow! How beautiful is that knife! Talented my friend! I can see with the time involved versus what someone will pay could make it difficult to do it full time but it is a thing of beauty!

Thanks man. I really enjoy making them. Gives me something to look forward to in retirement.............lol

Wow, nice work man!

Hey thanks. I wish I had more time to make knives again but each one cost me 12-15 hours. Gotta make a living.

Very useful tool at the camp. Especially at night next to the fire with the bottle beer ;) Great gift. I really do like it :)

Thank you for the kind words. I would like to see more art and food on steemit.
