DIY Cardboard Sock Blocker in action

Here’s an update of my sock making.

When I made a pair of socks that I wrote about here, here, and here I had a lot of yarn left.

I decided to make another pair of socks but without contrast cuffs. I'm still not keen on the yarn because it’s made up of three strands and when I’m knitting I need to make sure that I’m ‘catching’ all the strands together. The other pair of socks I made has lasted well and so I have to accept that the yarn is of ‘good’ quality and worth using it up.

The photo above shows you how much yarn I’ve got left. As you can see it’s probably enough for yet another pair of socks in that colour : I could use different colours for the cuff, toes or for the heels to add more variety. I'll definitely use a different type of yarn next though so it doesn’t get too monotonous for me.

For this pair I used the same vanilla sock pattern and cast on 60 stitches using 2.25mm double pointed needles (dpns). I still have a few more rows but can't wait to complete this pair soon.

This looks like some high cost socks. Sometimes when I read about how socks like this are made, I appreciate the people who made this.

How much will a pair of this cost in Steem...?

Thanks for your comment @ubongudofot.

I'm learning new ways of making the socks a bit faster and finetuning the pattern I'm currently using. I haven't thought about costs because the socks I've made have been presents for friends that have given me feedback so I can improve.
