The book of Isaiah is a set of texts that include various themes but centered on the idea of an eschatological or providential hope, despite the sins and errors of men, God's plan must be carried out in the world.
In the book of Immanuel, there are some oracles attributed in the Christian faith to the arrival of Jesus, Isaias is the Messianic prophet par excellence:
"The wolf will live with the lamb,
the leopard will lie down with the goat,
the calf and the lion and the yearling together;
and a little child will lead them.
The cow will feed with the bear,
their young will lie down together,
and the lion will eat straw like the ox.
The infant will play near the cobra's den,
and the young child will put its hand into the viper's nest.
They will neither harm nor destroy
on all my holy mountain,
for the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the LORD
as the waters cover the sea." Isaiah 11:6-9
This foreshadowing of the prophet Isaiah that the knowledge of God would fill the earth is fulfilled at Pentecost according to the teachings of the church. One of the central themes in the gospel is the arrival of the holy spirit as an inner teacher:
"But you are not to be called Master, for you have one Teacher, and you are all brothers. And do not call anyone on earth "father", for you have one Father, and he is in heaven. Nor are you to be called instructors, for you have one Instructor, the Messiah", Matthew 23:8-10; and also: "But when they arrest you, do not worry about what to say or how to say it. At that time, you will be given what to say, for it will not be you speaking, but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you" Matthew 10:19-20
After receiving the holy spirit in tongues of fire (Acts 2), Peter announces the mission of the church, the definitive realization of the Kingdom of God among men, and the fulfillment of all the prophecies of the Old Testament prophets:
"In the last days, God says,
I will pour out my Spirit in all people.
Your sons and daughters will prophesy,
your young men will see visions,
your old men will dream dreams.
Even on my servants, both men and women,
I will pour my Spirit in those days,
and they will prophesy.", Acts 2:17-18
