Once the elbow is gently beckoned against the door handle, the receipt comes: the world blurs, but the pain radiates into the fingertips, it tingles. Why is this place so sensitive?
Everyone has the in german language Musikantenknochen. Although it is not so funny, one calls the musician bone in the English "Funny Bone". In medicine he is also called the ulnar nerve.
Nervus Ulnaris in humans
On the inner side of the upper arm the ulnar nerve runs to the elbow hump. Through the skin, this is palpable on the medial epicondyle of the humerus. If this is the case, this can trigger a violent pain reaction. He is so called, because the one who pushes off a violent scream. The person then becomes a musician, because of the painful howling.

In a stroke, all the nerves that join in the elbow converge and are all simultaneously irritated. They then send a message to the brain. The common feature is that the nerve cell, which is actually virtually unaffected by pain, is included. A pain is felt that brings a comely feeling, a kind of numb feeling in the fingers. Everything suddenly bursts into the brain and all the stimuli get mixed up. It is definitely not a pleasant feeling. This does not last long, however, the pain is gone within a few seconds. Unless one is really firm, the pain can also last a few minutes. If the pain lasts longer, it is advised to go to the doctor. Then it can be that this is a nerve bounce.
