Hey. First of all, we need knowledge and experience to survive. If we are insane, we, really quickly disappear, if we do not have a storehouse of experience and knowledge in our memory. Even our feelings are often controlled, thanks to our experience, because we know what the consequences may be.

Hey Olga,
Your not the only one who does not agree with my declaration that most knowledge arises out of fear and is pathological to us and our habitat. It is an audacious claim and reeks of sensationalism and attention seeking.
So why do I keep sneaking it in there?
Knowledge that is readily updatable when presented with fresh evidence is a kind of skill.
Opinion that is held for some sort of personal advantage, that upsets us when it is challenged is a form of trauma.
Consider also how dificult it is to stop thinking, the stream of thoughts that keep us from experiencing our lives more fully are not random at all.
They are our opinions, labels and evaluations bounced back at us as everything "reminds" us - everything Re-minds us.
That is memory for you, and its not so pretty.
Animals function extremely well without our complex alternate futures, and pasts that we take personally and get so upset by.
So, what is the point?
The point is that it is the taking things personally that causes us to cling to knowledge or versions of it for advantage.
This messes up our intelligence as we compare all fresh data to "opinions" instead of clean memories.
Does that work better?
Of course, I could be totally wrong, this is just what I observe in myself.

Animals function well without the experience of knowledge, because they have natural instincts at the level to find food and not to be eaten by other animals. They do not seek to learn and gain knowledge. They do not need other needs. Man is not an animal. I agree that some of our thoughts prevent us from living comfortably and peacefully, but, since we live in a society with high technologies, our life largely depends on our knowledge and experience. When the head is empty - always more relaxed :)) But life becomes empty and monotonous.

Yes you are right.
Interesting isn't it. We are born with fewer instincts, but are highly adaptable, mostly to each others emotions.
A lot of our monotonous emptiness comes from not being alive to the world around us, because we are lost in circular thinking. Much of that mental noise is due to emotional conditioning and seeking approval, recognition status.
Real knowledge has a more selfless and fascinating aspect to it, it is easily updatable because it likes to be surprised and expand.
So I guess there is a distinction to be made there.
One is receptive
The other is reactive
Does that gel better?
