Scorpion Panopea eagle olarak bilinen bu akrepsi canlının şekli biraz manidar. Uzun yaşaması ( 140 yıl ) ve bir seferde 5000 dişiyi dölleyebilmesi sebebiyle iktidarsızlığa çare olabileceği düşünülerek tüketilen bir canlıdır. Tek doğal düşmanı insanlardır. Bu tür Türkiye' nin Adana ili Toroslar bölgesinde çokça bulunmaktadır. Kuyruğunda bulunan zehir 40 insanı öldürebilecek güçtedir.
