Women's communities care about waste

A collection of women's organizations of Siak District formed the Community of Concerned Waste Women or abbreviated to Puan Lisa. Inauguration of this community is done by Expert Staff Regent Rubiati in building Tengku Mahratu Siak, Sunday (27/08/2017).

The formation of this community is a form of women's concern for development in Siak.

"The number of residents, the pattern of community life and technological advances in providing goods and services has created new problems," said Fahriza, Head of Komunitas Peduli Sampah Siak Community.

In addition, he said the problem of waste has become a problem that cause social impacts with social, material, and health losses in the community. Therefore, with the establishment of this community, at least can reduce the bad impact of the waste.

Meanwhile, Expert Staff Regent Rubiati said, through this community is expected to solve garbage problems, through the easiest way to reduce waste, including 4R, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle and Replace.

"To overcome the waste can be done by 4R.First Reduce, reduce as much as possible to use plastic items.Second Reuse, is a waste management activity by using it again.Third Recycle, is an effort to reduce waste by way of recycling and the fourth Replace means change the goods- Goods that can only be used once with more durable goods, "explained Rubiati.

At the inauguration event also appeared some creativity results Siak female group on display, such as recycled items such as decorations, ornaments, bags, wallets, pencil case, where drinking water in packaging and so forth.
