Korean Culture : Love For Parents

in korea •  7 years ago

Hi Steemians. I admire how Koreans love and respect their family, especially their parents. I found this paper bag, even in paper bags, they remind their fellow Koreans to always love and take care of their Mother's. and the quotes caught my attention, and it touches my heart as a mother.

It says, "Mother, don't be sick I am upset", (will be upset) (or sad, or depressed).
Koreans are very loving to their parents, they are very affectionate and show their love all the time. They are very close to parents from childhood until they grow-up and even if the children have their own families they still remain intact and so close to the parents. They always visit the parents regularly, always on Holidays even they already have their own family, that is one thing I love from Koreans, they never lose the love and affection to their parents and elders.

Children remembers this debt to their parents who gave birth to them and raised them, treating parents respectfully at all times, taking care of them in their old age, mourning them well at proper funerals, and performing ceremonies for them after their deaths. Even fulfilling these duties, is still not enough to repay the debt to one's parents as the koreans say, they continue this repayment on through the family line.

Aww, It touched my heart, I can feel how that child loves his/her Mother dearly.

That is what Koreans does, until now a days

This is so inspiring! Good hearted mother deserves everlasting love from their children. ♥

That is a very wonderful thought and practice.
Love and respect for parent/s should not be ended in their funeral day but be kept within generations to generations.
After all, it was the parent/s love that was instill and grown inside us. The priceless confidence that sustain us children.
This is inspiring @lisaocampo.
