After a flurry of nuclear testing and missile launches, North Korea is ready to sit down and talk to South Korean and the United States. What drove the leader of this hermit kingdom to do a 360 on it's attitude towards the two countries are yet unclear but political experts say it is because one three reasons. One, the economy of North Korea is in the brink of collapsing; Two, Kim Jung On e is playing time to avoid a war that will certainly threaten his hold of the country and lastly, Kim is confident that with his nuclear weapons as leverage, he can now negotiate in the position of strength.
Noone is really certain where this is going. One thing for sure though, Kim Jung On is in control and everything can go in any direction.
