The Korean Grand Prix was a Formula One World Championship race that was held in South Korea from 2010 to 2013. The race was held at the Korea International Circuit, a purpose-built track located in the city of Yeongam, in the southwest of the country.
The first Korean Grand Prix was held in 2010 and was won by Fernando Alonso of Ferrari. The race was not without controversy, as the circuit was not fully completed in time for the event and there were concerns over the safety of the track.
Despite the initial problems, the Korean Grand Prix remained on the Formula One calendar for the next three years. Sebastian Vettel of Red Bull Racing won the race in 2011, 2012, and 2013, becoming the only driver to win at the Korean Grand Prix more than once.
However, despite the success of the race in terms of attendance and the quality of the circuit, the Korean Grand Prix was ultimately removed from the Formula One calendar due to financial difficulties and declining attendance. The last Korean Grand Prix was held in 2013, and since then, there have been no plans to bring the race back.
