K-Boppin': BTS Continues to Tease with 'Singularity'

The countdown continues for BTS's new album and the days are getting closer and closer! SO MUCH ANTICIPATION! In their perfect BTS fashion, BTS just dropped a comeback trailer with V who sings their intro song Singularity. Check. It. Ouutt-ah!

Mr. Deep voice king wins my heart all over again. I LOVE V's VOICE and it suits the sultry mood of song soothing you into his world. Ah, it's so beautiful.

From what I gather from reading the English translated lyrics from here V's is singing about being stuck in a type of pain. The first line begins with, "A sound of something breaking, I awake from sleep" in which I interpret as his breaking heart but when you go through a loss of someone you have deeply loved it's not just your heart, the pain can be so immense it can rack you numb. And so, like a ringing noise that won't go away it's the only thing on your mind, even sleeping isn't good sleep because you see your heart break in your dreams.

It's expressed so wonderfully through the choreography. I love the interaction with the arm off of a coat hanger. It reminds of the emotions expressed from Zion T'z music video, Snow - the interaction of someone who is not really there. It's so intimate too from hands holding and instantly pulling back and embracing touches that gets swiped away. I need it, I want it, but it's not real.

I also love the interactions of the white masks on the black background. The use of the pure contrast becomes striking and the masks appear like the voices/sounds in the dark space of his mind not letting him be alone.
