The independence day in Korea

오늘은 대한민국의 독립기념일 이다.

우리나라가 일본제국주의에 의하여식민통치를 당한 기간은 35년간이다.(1910∼1945).

Today is Independence Day of Republic of Korea. The period during which Korea was colonized by Japanese imperialism was 35 years (1910-1945).

수많은 독립운동가의 피와 미국의 원자폭탄 투하로 일본은 무조건인 항복으로 대한민국은 마침내 일본의 식민지배로부터 독립할 수 있었다.

이 기간 엄청나게 많은 한국 사람들이 일본의 잔혹한 식민통치와 굶주림으로 중국 과 러시아쪽으로 이동하였다.

일본제국주의는 한국을 강점하여 사회·경제적 수탈의 극대화와 함께 한국민족을 지구 위에서 소멸시키려 한 것이었다. 이 점이 서구 제국주의의 식민지정책과는 근본적으로 다른 점이었다. 단적으로 말하면 서구 제국주의의 식민지정책은 간접지배이든 직접지배이든 간에 사회·경제적 수탈을 기본목적으로 하고, 피지배민족의 민족보존은 당연한 것으로 인정하였으며, 민족문화운동에 대해서는 그것이 직접적인 정치적 독립운동이 아닌 한 방관적 정책을 취하였다.
