Today is the day the United States entered World War II.

Today, 78 years ago, the United States entered World War II when Japan raided Pearl Harbor in Hawaii.

The Japanese Empire has been at war with China and the Soviet Union since the invasion of Manchuria in 1931.

The Second Sino-Japanese War broke out on July 7, 1937, when the Japanese troops raided the Chinese troops without declaration of war on the Marco Polo Bridge in Vaping. (the Marco Polo Bridge Incident)

The Second Sino-Japanese War broke out in the wake of Japanese troops in what was called Marco Polo Bridge because Marco Polo referred to it in the Eastern Gate.

For over 100 years after the Meiji Restoration, Western troops, weapons, strategies, and tactics were imported, and Japanese forces as powerful as Western troops conquered mainland China in no time.

Hundreds of thousands of Chinese were sacrificed by the massacres, looting, arson and rape committed by Japanese troops on mainland China.

The Chinese government appealed to the League of Nations for Japan's brutality of one-sided war without declaration of war.

The United Nations has identified Japan as an invader and demanded its withdrawal from China, but Japan has rather criticized it and withdrew from it.

Rather, Japan forms a trilateral alliance with Germany and Italy to become a Axis Powers, creating the cause of War II. .  China asked the United States, Britain, and the Soviet Union to stop Japan's invasion but is rejected.

Because  The United States and Britain did not want to shed their blood in wars between Asian nations, and the Soviet Union was confronting Germany.

However, because the Soviet Union was a neighbor to China, Japan could not stand to conquer China, so it dispatched weapons, equipment, and training instructors.  The Soviet Union provided China with $ 200 million in assistance, including aircraft, cannons, tanks and training instructors that it could not produce.

Chiang Kai-shek asked for military assistance from the United States and Britain, but was rejected.

The US stood by the Asian nations because they did not want to intervene in the war and shed their blood.

Even if Japanese troops killed 300,000 Chinese civilians in Nanjing, the West, including the United States and Britain, was indifferent and left alone. (The Nanking Massacre)

As the United States and Britain observed Japan's aggression, the Japanese became more enthusiastic about invasion, looting and massacre.  The Chinese people were furious at the brutality of Japanese troops, resisting more violently, and the war lasted four years.

Relentlessly and fiercely resisted by Japan, Japan gradually ran out of war and other oil and rubber items, and began targeting Southeast Asian resources.

For Japan, Southeast Asia's oil and rubber were desperate to conquer China.

After World War II broke out in Europe, when France was conquered by Germany, Japan sought to conquer Vietnam, the French colony.

When Japan sent troops to the French colonies in Vietnam, the United States only recognized the danger.

Southeast Asia at that time was Eldorado, making money for Western empires such as the United States, Britain, the Netherlands, and France. If Japan conquers Southeast Asia, the United States would suffer massive political and economic losses and threaten national security.

The United States, Britain, and the Netherlands, which had turned away from the Chinese massacre until now, were stepped up to prevent the Japanese invasion.

The United States, the United Kingdom and the Netherlands have allied to prevent Japan's invasion of Southeast Asia, and Japan is ravaged.

Japan called the ABCsiege network because the United States, Britain, and the Netherlands allied to surround Japan. Western empires, which have so far neglected Japan's invasion of China, are trying to stop it as Japan seeks their colonies.

Japan thinks of war as the alliance of western empires makes it difficult to secure Southeast Asian resources.

What's more, when the US embarked on oil embargo, Japan finally decided to go to war.

Japan made thorough preparations and training to wage war against the United States, but the United States fell into pride.

It was believed that no aircraft or warships made by Asians inferior to whites existed.

This arrogance and prejudice in the United States are at the cost of blood.

Japan has been at war with China since the 1930s, and the Japanese have more hands-on experience and superior equipment than Americans.

In particular, Japanese ZERO  fighters<零式艦上戰鬪機> and air torpedoes were among the best in the world.

The United States has overestimated Japan's skills and courage, and it is a big tragedy.

On December 7, 1941, the Japanese imperial forces raided the Pearl Harbor of Hawaii in the United States, destroying the US Pacific Fleet.

The Japanese imperial forces raided  was the greatest success in World War II, and more than 3,000 Americans died. Just as Japan invaded China without declaration of war, the United States invaded in the same way.

Naturally, the United States was outraged and World War II broke out in the Pacific Ocean, the other side of Europe, called the US-Japan War or the Pacific War.

After four years of war, the two sides suffered more than three million casualties.

More than 3 million lives are lost through the US-Japan war that broke out in Japan's Pearl Harbor.

李承晩 | Syngman Rhee, a South Korean politician and president, made this prophecy to the United States. When Japan began invading China in 1931, he cried out that the United States should engage in armed forces right now.

Only now can we put US troops in place to stop Japan so we can protect world peace.

However, the United States ignored his warning, and in the end of World War II, the United States suffered 500,000 deaths.
