매년 수십억을 사용한다고 하네요(예 교육청 26억)
전국으로 치면 어마어마할텐데...
1,2년만 자체준비해서 리눅스 등 프리프로그램적응기 거치면
다 대학나온 공무원들이 불가능하지도 않을텐데
MS랑 딜도 한번 못하고 매년 돋을 쏟아붓는 이유가 뭘까요?

글쎄요... 이 부분은 저도 정확한 정보가 없어서
제 말이 진실은 아닐 것입니다.
저희 회사 리눅스 엄청 씁니다.
개발도 많이 하고 아마 모든 개발자가 다 리눅스 빠꼼이들일 것입니다.
그런데도 모든 직원들 다 정품 윈도우를 사용합니다.
당연히 오피스도 365로 매달 돈 지불하며 씁니다.
PC의 OS를 MS가 아닌 다른 것으로 바꾸는 것이
생각보다 간단한 일은 아닙니다.
그렇게 아낀 돈이 과연 장기적으로 이익인가 하는 것도
고민의 여지는 많이 있습니다.
무료로 사용할 수 있는 것이 무료라 지불되는 돈은 적으나
그로인해서 다른 역효과가 난다면
돈이 남아도 크게 효용성은 없을 수 있습니다.
정부기관이라는 것은 돈을 많이 쓸수록 좋은 경우가 많습니다.
많은 한국의 개발업체에게 정부의 돈이 투자되고 있지요
무료로 바뀔 경우 이것이 잘못될 수도 있습니다.
하여간 아주 심각히 분석해서 말씀드리는 것은 아닙니다.

음... 역시나 선점의 위력이 아닐까요? 대부분의 기업들이 모두 MS를 사용하고 있는 상황이니, 호환성 문제등을 생각하면 쉽지 않을 것 같네요. 아직도 국가기관에서는 MS word대신 hwp를 쓰고 있는데요. 그것 마저도 공문으로 받으면 엄청 불편하거든요.(회사가 라이센스를 몇개 안사요 돈이드니까요) 글로벌 기업인 대 S사도 훈민정음 같은 자체 프로그램 쓰다가 주변 회사들과 하도 호환문제가 생기니까 이젠 MS로 다 바꾸었죠.
그럼에도 정부차원에서 분명히 MS와 딜을 할 수 있을 텐데도, 안하는 건 직무유기가 맞을 거구요. 바꾸는 일은 아마도 어려워서 (혹은 생각조차 안해봐서) 못하고 있는게 아닐까 생각해 봅니다. ^^
