이 영화의 연출을 맡은 '앤디 서키스' 감독은
[반지의 제왕]에서 골룸역으로 유명한 배우이기도 하죠

모션 캡쳐 연기의 달인으로 불리는 재능만큼
이 영화에서는 직접 감독으로 이름을 올리고 있습니다
(참고로 '골룸'의 목소리는 그의 실제 목소리입니다)

[정글북]의 '러디어드 키플링'의 동명 작품을
모션 캡쳐를 이용해서 실사로 만들어낸 작품이죠

전체적인 느낌은 디즈니처럼 친숙한면도 있지만
인간과 늑대 어디에서도 자리잡지 못하고 고민하는
주인공의 정체성에 좀 더 집중을 하고 있습니다

초호화 캐스팅에 가까운 목소리 배우들이
가상의 상대를 두고 직접 모션 캡쳐로 연기하는건
일반 연기보다 결코 쉬운 작업이 아니죠

캐릭터를 가만히 지켜보면 목소리 주인공의 얼굴이
묘하게 겹쳐보이는 재미난 경험도 가능합니다
