So the important thing to remember here is that Fredo doesn't really care about the quality of a deal he makes he thinks the art of the deal is basically just shaking hands and being able to say "I made a deal". It isn't like Korea hasn't asked for this in the past; the problem has being that it falls apart when the US asks for things to happen prior to the conference occurring.

But here comes Trump, ever willing to shake hands and say he made some kind of deal; good, bad, indifferent, and just agrees without any prior conditions. Let's hope that works.... because precedent says it doesn't.
