The next class was Chinese, which felt more like a lullaby to Xiao Xiao, rendering her drowsy throughout the lesson. Her chin rested on her hand, and her head bobbed up and down slowly, much like a chick pecking at the ground.
In contrast, the boy sitting in front of her, Yu Zhe, seemed quite attentive, even being called upon by the teacher to answer questions.

"Eat after you sleep? Xiao Xiao, are you a pig?" Yu Zhe teased her, and in the course of their conversation throughout the morning, they had become more familiar with each other, like friends.
"You’re the pig!" Xiao Xiao shot back, "It’s already noon, of course I’m going to eat! Don’t tell me you’re not eating? Hurry up, take me to the cafeteria, and you’re paying."
Now that Xiao Xiao was more comfortable with him, she became quite direct, showing no hesitation. Besides, she already knew that Yu Zhe was from a wealthy family, so treating her to a meal wouldn’t hurt his pocket too much.

"Don’t call me Xiao Xiao, didn’t I tell you? If you’re going to call me, do it properly, by both my name and surname. Are you trying to annoy me, or do you have something against me?" she corrected him.
She didn’t like it when people called her by just her nickname, except for those who were either her enemies or someone like Yin Shaojie. But with Yin Shaojie, it was different—they had known each other since childhood, so she didn’t mind. Sometimes, when she got angry, she even called him by both his name and surname.
"Alright, Xiao Xiao, which senior class are you looking for?"
"The senior class S. Where is it?"
Yu Zhe, who had been pulled along by her, paused for a moment, looking at her with curiosity. "Senior class S? Who are you looking for?"
Xiao Xiao smiled mischievously. "His name is Lu Yichen. Do you know him?"
She was curious whether Lu Yichen was as well-known at school as she thought.
