"Hey, focus on driving and stop staring at me! I'm afraid we'll crash," she said, her expression one of distrust in his driving skills, tinged with a hint of disdain.

Yin Shaojie was displeased. "Dare you question my skills? Don’t you know I’m known as the ‘Driving God’? Up here on Qiuyang Mountain, no one can beat me!"

"Keep talking, I don’t even know if what you're saying is true. Just keep boasting, don’t stop," she retorted, habitually engaging in their playful banter, unwilling to let him feel too smug.

"Fine, just wait. One day, I’ll take you to see my racing cars, and then you’ll see just how amazing I really am," he said.

"Racing cars? Oh, that sounds exciting! I like that!" she grinned, her eyes twinkling with mischievous delight. She had successfully pricked his pride, and now he was the one suggesting they do something together.

Yin Shaojie shot her a sideways glance. "I swear, I feel like I’ve fallen right into your trap."

She leaned in with a sly smile, snatched his sunglasses from his face, and pointed ahead. "Focus on driving, don’t get distracted. My life’s in your hands."

With that, she cheerfully put on the sunglasses, playfully moving her fingers up and down on the center bridge, clearly enjoying herself.

Yin Shaojie sighed in exasperation, shaking his head, and decided to stop indulging her teasing.

A short while later, they finally arrived at the Yin family estate.

The large iron gates swung open, and as their car drove in, a row of servants stood in a neat line, waiting to greet them.

"Young Master, welcome home."

"Miss Mu, welcome back."

Xiaoxiao removed the sunglasses and placed them back in the car, then stepped out and waved cheerfully at the servants. "Hello, everyone! Long time no see!"

Yin Shaojie also got out of the car, grabbing her hand as they walked toward the house. "You’re really a handful."

Standing at the doorway, the servants opened the door for them.

Just as they entered, there was a loud "bang, bang, bang," startling them both as colorful streamers fell over them.

"You’re back! Congratulations on your engagement!" someone inside joyously shouted.

Both Xiaoxiao and Yin Shaojie stood there, dumbfounded.

Yin’s mother rushed over and embraced Xiaoxiao, planting a kiss on her cheek. "My dear Xiaoxiao, you’re my daughter-in-law now!"

Yin Shaojie scanned the room, noticing the festive decorations and the numerous guests, all dressed formally.

His brows furrowed, and he turned to his mother, asking, "What’s going on here?"

Yin's mother smiled warmly. "Today is your engagement party! You know, why wait for a perfect date when you can just do it today? Xiaoxiao, come here and see the cake I ordered for you—it's absolutely gorgeous. You’ll love it!"

Xiaoxiao was at a loss, both amused and exasperated. She was pulled over to a massive ten-tier cake, intricately designed like a princess’s castle—truly every girl's dream.

Yin’s father patted Yin Shaojie’s shoulder, speaking with gravity, "You must take good care of Xiaoxiao from now on, understood? Her father has entrusted her to you, and you cannot let her down."

Yin’s grandfather nodded approvingly, his usually stern face softened by a joyful smile. "Seeing you with Xiaoxiao is all I could ask for."

Yin Shaojie: "..."

So, no one bothered to ask for his opinion? Did he even want to marry Xiaoxiao?

But under his grandfather's stern gaze, he dared not refuse the engagement in front of so many people.
