Three times of tasting real Korean Chicken ๐Ÿ—๐Ÿ—๐Ÿ—

Korea is a country that really famous with so many types of chicken. People here, especially the young, are crazy with it. And even in Vietnam, any restaurant named โ€œKorean fried chickenโ€ is always crowed and expensive. I have tried it once in Vietnam and I just hope that it was not real Korean fried chicken because it was so dissapointed.

I need to be clear that Iโ€™m really picky with chicken. The only one kind of chicken I love is the chicken raised naturally in my familyโ€™s farm. I dont prefer eating the chicken outside that is growed industrially. It is too soft and tasteless. But honestly I still expected a bit when I visited Korea. I tried chicken 3 times with 3 types of taste. All of them was so different with kinds of chicken I had eaten in Vietnam before.

Stewed chicken (?!)

This is the first one. I forget the name but I feel like hotpot. Big pot with stewed chicken, tokkboki and green onion. It was served with spicy sauce which was the most outstanding. Chicken was stewed and really soft, but I felt tasteless until I dipped it into the spicy sauce. That sauce was not spicy at all but it made chicken so tasty. I have a compliment for the chicken soup, so savoury.

The second one was spicy chicken I ate in sauna room (์ง์ง€๋ฐฉ). It was quite spicy and sweet. I dont like sweet stuff so it didnโ€™t impress me. My friend said that spicy chicken outside was much more delicious. Unfortunately, I didnโ€™t have chance to try it.

The last one was fried chicken - a kind of chicken that must be eaten when drinking beer. It really got my expectation. The cover was enough (not super thick like KFC or Lotteria), crispy and savoury( not tasteless like Vietnamese style). I love that.

After turning back Vietnam, I just hope that some restaurants that are named โ€œKorean chickenโ€ can serve the real Korean chicken. After trying in Korea, I know for sure those restaurants are serving fake ones. Lol.

Did you eat Kim Chi when you were in Korea? The first time I tried it, I hated it. Now I love it.

Why did you hate it in the first time. Haha. I always love it. Maybe because of it is quite similiar with a kind of pickle in Vietnam

It smells so bad and the taste is unfamiliar to most Americans.

Now, I love it. They sell it in the grocery stores here.
