Now as I am also a K-drama fan! We know how fun it is to be able to watch Korean dramas and understand what’s going on without subtitles, so I am going to help make that happen.
Every day I will post three words, by which we all can understand.
Let’s get to it, shall we?
1. 하지말라고 – I said ‘don’t do that’
Pronunciation in Korean: hajimallago
If the other person doesn’t respond to the speaker’s then he or she will keep teasing the speaker.
2. 거짓말이야 – It’s a lie
Pronunciation in Korean: geojinmariya
Often part of the drama plot will involve somebody lying, and eventually being found out.
3. 거짓말 하지마 – Don’t lie
Pronunciation in Korean: geojinmal hajima
This expression is also very common in dramas.
