The subway in Seoul is filled with these adds for BananaTok crypto currency. I guess the city needs advertising funds, but how can anyone take a banana serious? One day they will end in a banana split.
BananaTok Review
They make it look like a Korean crypto currency company resembling Kakaotalk, but if you look carefully into the whitepaper only one of the founding members has anything to do with Korea. https://bananatok.io/en/
He (WOO CHANG CHO) is CEO of Zoo Holdings Group brand for 15 years, including Seven Monkeys Coffee, Zoo Coffee and Tiger Kitchen Experts in operation and offline stores in China and Vietnam.
Anywho, Mr. Woo has got the monkey balls to serve as Zoo director for 15 years. It takes a lot of balls to make a crypto currency called banana anything. I'm not an expert but just looking at the whitepaper this BananaTok looks dangerous to say the least.
Red Flag
They are advertising "all the benefits of the Telegram" with "secret conversations" and "transfer without wallet address". That sounds kind of scary to me. Just sending money randomly through a text message may be convenient. But what if my kids get a hold of my phone and then my account is empty and in exchange I have a box of bananas.
Yes, we have no bananas
Finally they claim to become "a professional medial channel for blockchain news and coin communities". I just don't see that happening. We don't need another middle man. The point of these communities is decentralization and this is definitely a centralized approach.
I guess they are just some guys who wanted to take advantage of the crypto craze in Korea and get someone to send them bitcoin.
Banana Airdrop is Hot Air
They also claim an airdrop, but I will have to pass on this one. I didn't look further into it but I bet you get the airdrop after you transfer crypto into your BananaTok account.
Dude, these guys don't stand a chance against the mighty potato.
I'm a Banana
I couldn't resist linking this Banana Video. Please don't watch the video if you have vertigo. Also none of this information is financial advice and no direct offence is intended toward any zookeepers mentioned in this article. It's more indirect and for the purpose of entertainment.
The banana boat song by Harry Belafonte is classic and heart moving song that can set me in the right mood. I'm kind of a Harry Belafonte fan. He goes way back:

No matter how many banana songs are written in this world I am not opening a BananaTok account.
