새까만 어머니 손은
껍질을 벗기고 하얗게 쓰다듬어
다소곳이
마음에 담아 끓이셨다

주무시기를 기다렸다가
가마솥 뚜껑을 열어
새알 같은
어머니 눈치를 몰래 먹었더니

세월이 한참이나 지난 지금
토란국을 먹지 않아도
어머니만 보면
목구멍이 저려온다
