가을은

이제 그만 성장을 멈추고

화려함을 거두고

겸허한 자세로 한 생애를 되돌아보며,

다음 세대를 준비하는

그런 숙연한 의식의 계절인가 보다.

아파트 화단의 분꽃도

작열하는 여름 햇살아래

진분홍빛, 노란빛 꽃을 피워

한껏 화려한 자태를 뽐내더니

어김없이 찾아오는 가을이라는 계절앞에

까아만 씨앗만 남겨놓고

완숙함이 지나쳐 처연한 모습으로

쳐다보는 이의 심금을 울리고 있다
