TBC is Catching Up on the Backlog of TransactionssteemCreated with Sketch.

At this moment TBC has completed 1,975,562 transactions since the day we launched on March 21st, 2016. We have completed the upgrades to the daemon and we are completely scale-able today. This was an intense surgical operation on the backbone of our code running the TBC coin. You may have already noticed a substantial increase in the speed of getting a transaction ID when you are sending TBC coins. Confirmations on the receiving end still vary quite a bit, and that will be the case until we catch up on the backlog of transactions. We are still over 100,000 transactions backlogged. Currently, retries of transactions are set at 20 times before they cancel out. The old code was malfunctioning on cancelling after retries were exhausted. So, if you are not a Discounter and you fall in that category, that alot of time has passed (a month) and your transaction still hasn’t even confirmed 1 time then send in a ticket to support and they will replace your TBC coins that are missing. If you send in a ticket to support, and your transaction seems excessive in size you will be asked to prove that it was not an act of Discounting. If you can’t reasonably prove you were not discounting, then instead of receiving replacement TBC coins you will be kicked out of TBC and your wallet(s) will be suspended forever. Most of cause of becoming backlogged in the first place is due to the large quantities of transactions coming from the Discounters. We simply won’t put up with that kind of abuse any longer. So, don’t say I didn’t warn you! If you are a Discounter wanting to use Support, you may find yourself on the fast track to having your wallet(s) suspended!

With number of nodes running the TBC coin today we can handle 450 transactions every 2 minutes. We will add a couple more nodes next week too. That means we can try to put a confirmation through 324,000 times per day. With TBC membership growing at about 5,000 a day and our current membership is sitting at 439,907 at this time, 324,000 tries to confirm transactions should be more than enough. The truth is less than 10% of the TBC community is actively trying to complete a transaction per day. We hope all of the backlog will be gone within the next 2 weeks.
