Our women who were taken
A flight with an all-female crew in the history of Sri Lankan aviation, recently flew. It is on the occasion of International Women's Day on March 8, 2019. UL owned by SriLankan Airlines. Flight 306 took off on the morning of March 8 to Singapore's Changi Airport.
After a successful flight from Katunayake to Changi Airport, UL. Flight 306 graced the Changi runway with a more graceful rhythm than usual. A woman is not a harsh character compared to a man. The rhythm of this elegance was due to the gentleness of the woman.
In terms of strength, a man is a physically stronger character than a woman. But in action as well as in the measurement of mental strength, woman is a character born with the strength of endurance. In particular, the chief pilot as well as the co-pilot must have a very strong mental attitude during a separate flight. Simran Gamman, the chief pilot, and Manisha Nambuge, who served as the first flight officer, had a hundred thousand times more mental strength than usual for nothing else.
"Yes, we are the ones taking this plane today" because of women's pride. With that pride, these two flew the plane from the earth to the sky with amazing enthusiasm. The plane climbed to a height of about 35,000 feet, bringing more comfort to the passengers.
As tender as the hand that drives the cradle, where else?
Good evening ladies and gentlemen, we welcome you who are traveling on SriLankan Airlines. I am Simran Gamman, the chief pilot here. The First Flight Officer is Manisha Nambuge. The flight crew with us is eight in total. There is a good weather condition. The flight time to the destination is three hours and 50 minutes. We wish you a safe flight and we invite you to enjoy the services of SriLankan Airlines.''
This is what the chief pilot said before the take off of this plane, which was carrying about 170 passengers. It is true that this journey was not an unfamiliar journey for these eight women who took responsibility and protection of 170 lives. But this flight brought them more excitement. It wasn't because of anything else. Because of the feeling that "we are only women today". So they were more enthusiastic and active than ever.
SriLankan Airlines has a record of in-flight hospitality. Their care is of such high quality. So friendly. Miranda Rodrigue was the head of the cabin crew here. Lakmini, Sumudu, Onela, Shehani and Dushmanti, the beautiful women who assisted her, provided that quality and friendly care with equal responsibility. A few in this group are married mothers with children. But not those who have crossed the age limit. These lovely women who are above 25 years of age are still in their youth.
What special things happened to you today? Didn't you feel scared?''
U.L. When a friend asked a flight attendant who was working on flight 306 that day, the flight attendant gave this answer.
"It's very normal. Nothing special happened. We had the happiness that comes when girls get together and do something.''
She had told her friend something like that.
In order to know the details about these eight beautiful women who brought a great meaning to the women's world on Women's Day, we spoke to the heads of the media department of SriLankan Airlines but did not receive an answer.
"There is a way we have to get permission for that. It cannot be done at once.
The manager of the media department told us. So we hope to feature an article detailing these lovely ladies next week.
Before concluding this post, we will present herewith a description of the flight information that flew only with a female crew in the world.
It wasn't just yesterday that women entered the aviation industry. It was hundreds of years ago. There, American Amelia Mary Earhart's name is mentioned as the world's first female flight captain. She was born in 1897. In 1937, she was working for American Airlines and was piloting an airplane belonging to that airline. Her guide that day was Fred Noonan. They were flying over Howland Island in the central Pacific Ocean. After that, no trace of these two could be found. The American Airlines company later stated that the plane she was flying was missing. This Amelia Mary was not just a pilot. She was the author of several best-selling books. That is, she was also a book author.
Those books, written on the basis of Aye's experiences about flights, have sold very well. She has given a courageous message to other women in the world. She was known as a character who was skilled in several fields, not just one thing. She also worked as a consultant in the aeronautical engineering department at Purdue University and is noted for her records in the aeronautical field. Apart from that, A. who was also a political and social activist
