The cauliflower head may be slightly convex or pyramidal, depending on the variety. The plant originated in the Mediterranean region. However, it has become popular in China, India, Poland and many other countries. At present, China is the largest producer of cauliflower in the world. India, Poland, Italy and France also produce significant amounts of cauliflower.
