Meditation to Reverse Negative to Positive Ek Ong Kar Sat Gur Prasad

in kundaliniyoga •  6 years ago

Dear Sangat Ji,

Given by Yogi Bhajan to his students the 18th of July 1975, this mantra is the only Kundalini mantra that comes with a warning. Usually, when you recite mantras correctly, you benefit, and when you recite them incorrectly, they don’t have any side effect. However, if you recite this mantra incorrectly, backlash may occur.

This is such a potent and creative mantra that you must watch your actions and thoughts before and after you recite it. It needs to be recited with respect, in a place of reverence.

This mantra is the essence of the Siri Guru Granth Sahib (the Sikh sacred scripture). It’s also the beginning of the Mool mantra that is recited by millions of Sikhs every day. It is named the “mool mantra” because it sums up the existence of God.

In this present form, Ek Ong Kar Sat Gur Prasad Sat Gur Prasad Ek Ong Kar, its power resides in reversing the negative into positive (i.e. your mind is polluted by some unwanted thoughts or entities, shifting from a situation of abuse, etc…). It also allow each cell of the body to become fully conscious, what the yogis call an Indranitri, the eye of Indra. An image reflecting the total 360 degrees 4th dimensional intuitiveness and knowing of the entire being.

Once again, this mantra should not be taken lightly and Yogi Bhajan recommended to begin with the recitation of the protective Mangala Charan mantra: Ad Guray Nameh, Jugad Guray Nameh, Sat Guray Nameh, Siri Guru Devay Nameh.

This Kundalini mantra makes the mind so powerful that it removes all hindrances. If this magical mantra is chanted just five times, it will stop the mind and put it into reverse gear. This mantra, as used in Kundalini yoga, is a specific technology using the sound’s vibrations to affect and elevate consciousness, as well as to heal us on all levels.
Furthermore, the mantra aligns us with the “One Creator”. Hence, it removes all the negative energy inside us.

How to practice it:

1- Prepare yourself with reverence to practice something meaningful.

2- Sit straight and recite the Mangala Charan Mantra with joined hands pressed at the heart center.

3- Then place your hands in Raj Kriya Mudra, for men, right hand open facing up on top of the left hand resting on your lap, the tip of the thumbs are touching. For women, place the back of the right hand on your lap and place the left one on top, always palms up and tip of the thumbs touching.

4- Recite the mantra EK ONG KAR SAT GUR PRASAD
SAT GUR PRASAD EK ONG KAR in a steady rhythm. On “Ek Ong”, pull in the Navel Point. On syllable “Kar”, release it. When reciting “Sat Gur”, pull in the entire abdominal region, particularly the diaphragm, lifting everything up toward the ribs and back toward the spine. On syllable “Prasad”, release it. Continue this contraction and release with each chanting of this mantra.

Meaning of this mantra: “There is one Creator of all Creation. This realization comes through Guru’s Grace.”
